OS X 10.10 Yosemite – Top Best Safari Tips
Safari 8.0 now has a spiffing new flat appearance as well as speed and performance improvements that take advantage of Yosemite’s capability. During the beta build, there was a feature that was especially popular amongst users.
Enhanced tab management
To make it easier for you to manage tabs more efficiently in Safari, you are now able to view thumbnails for all open tabs by selecting the new tab view button which can be located to the right of the address bar.
In the current version, every page that is open displays its own smaller version within the browser window. If you have numerous pages from the same site open then they will be grouped together. You can swiftly alternate between tabs by clicking its preview icon. You can also exit a tab by selecting the X button in the top left corner.
Beneath the tab thumbnails you will notice a list of open tabs on your other iCloud connected devices. The list makes simplifies the process of opening and closing tabs via another device on your Mac.
Sidebar shared links
The sidebar view stays the same in Safari, apart from the new ability to pose as an RSS reader on your behalf. At any given moment when viewing a webpage, you can select the Share button which can also be located aside the address bar – and click Add Website to Shared Links in order to subscribe to that site’s designated RSS feed.
